James McCall 
Chairman

James is the Chief Executive of the Motor Traders’ Association of NSW and has been with the MTA for close to ten years. James is a veteran Ministerial Minder having served six cabinet ministers as either Chief of Staff or Senior Policy Adviser since 1966. James has a background in Law having held positions in the Department of the Attorney General and of Justice and was Chief of Staff to the Minister of Justice in the late 1960’s. In between stints with Ministers James held senior positions with a number of Associations including the State Chamber of Commerce. James has represented Australia in numerous international conferences across Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Asia and North America.  He was widely recognised as a leading expert on mutuals and non-profit organisation.

Martin Jones

Director

Martin is the CEO Asia and Australia for the Innovation Group. Martin has spent over 24 years working in the provision of solutions to insurance and related industries. In that time he has worked in finance, sales and marketing, management consulting and senior management roles in the UK and in Australia.

John Bannister 
Director

John is currently the Finance Director Asia and Australia for the Innovation Group. John has held prior executive positions in both finance and general management in such diverse businesses as poultry production, telecommunications and IT, in both Australia and overseas. This has provided John with a significant and diverse amount of commercial experience. After qualifying as a chartered accountant in England, John decided to venture overseas, initially working in Papua New Guinea, before eventually arriving in Australia in 1991.

Jon Nicolls 
Director

Jon is the Managing Director of Stelvio Australia.  Prior to Stelvio Jon held senior management positions with Auto-Quote and Lumley Technology, and founded VQS quoting systems. He has over 30 years of experience in the automotive insurance and repair industries.

Greg Patten 
Director

Greg Patten is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer to the Motor Traders’ Association of NSW where he has held various positions including Divisional Management, Accountant and Administration Manager for over 25 years. Greg is a qualified Motor Mechanic who has since received a Degree in Business at UTS.  Greg has an in-depth understanding of the Motor Industry legislation and requirements.
